As I promised that I will share with you my favorite pita bread salad recipe with you which go well with grilled tuna. So I am here with it this crispy, crunchy, yummy salad. You will get touch of Mediterranean flavor in this salad. So don’t waste time to discover the unique taste of this wonderful salad.
INGREDIENTS:
Pita bread 3 large Olive oil 2 1/2 table spoon Lemon juice 4 table spoon Garlic 1 teaspoon (grated) Cucumber 1 large diced Cherry tomato 10 halved Boiled green peas 1/4 cup Bell pepper 1 diced Red onion 1 sliced Raisin 10 to 12 Fresh mint leaves few chopped Lettuce leaves 4 Dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon Dried basil 1/8 teaspoon Feta cheese 1/4 cup grated (optional) Salt and pepper according to taste
PROCEDURE:
Cut each pita bread into small triangles. Arrange the pita wedges in single layer on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven at 350 degree then bake the bread for 5 to 6 minutes or until toasted. Let it cool down then transfer it in a airtight container. If it sounds too difficult then go for instant baked pita chips. Now take cucumber, tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, green peas, raisin, grated garlic, olive oil, fresh mint leaves mix well in big bowl. You can cover and chill it for half an hour or serve immediately. Before serving add salt and pepper dried oregano and basil. Then add the pita bread toast. Toss with lettuce and sprinkle cheese above it.
Serve with proud this healthy salad will definitely give a fresh feeling and all will praise your culinary talent.
